Individual & communal cremation
We offer individual and communal cremation for pets of all sizes, handled with care and reverence at our Grass Valley facility. Every animal in our care is treated as if they were our own.
We cremate all companion animals, not just cats and dogs. Rabbits, birds, guinea pigs, goats, chickens, reptiles, and others are all welcome. We can handle animals up to 400 lbs. If you're not sure whether we can help, just ask.
Families bring their pet to us by appointment. Remains are generally ready within a week of drop-off, often sooner. We will notify you as soon as they're ready.
Witnessed cremation is available for families who would like to be present. Private cremation, where your pet is cremated with human-grade isolation, is also available for families with religious or personal preferences. We can often accommodate any special cremation need, reach out and we can discuss options.
Individual Cremation

Communal Cremation
Remains scattered by a stream in the Nevada County forest. A peaceful natural rest. Paw print available as an add-on for $35.
Hospice support
Walking alongside you before goodbye
Hospice care is about quality of life, not giving up. It's a philosophy that says: as long as your pet is here, they deserve to be comfortable, loved, and at home.
As a certified animal hospice and palliative care advocate, my role is to support you and your family, not to replace your veterinarian. I help you understand what to expect as your pet's condition progresses, talk through the questions you're not sure how to ask your vet, and help you recognize the signs that your pet is comfortable or in distress.
I can help you think through what a peaceful passing at home might look like, and prepare you emotionally so you're not facing it alone and unprepared. When the time comes, I'm here for that too. All medical decisions remain with your veterinary team.

Support for after
Losing a pet is a real loss. We provide resources to help you and your family process the experience, support groups, books, and tools that have helped others through pet loss.
We maintain a lending library of books on pet loss, including titles written specifically to help children understand and process the experience. We also host a free monthly pet loss support group, open to the community regardless of whether you used our services.
